Hi Chuck! Thanks for the plugin. The problem I have is that when I link to articles on my site, the HTML code that creates the “Continue Reading” link shows up after the excerpt. The excerpt then looks like this:

The things of our childhoods have not travelled as far as we have. It’s a tiny disappointment our intoxicated grown-up selves quickly forget. by Zimin Ho <?a href="https://www.hellochapalang.com/strawberry-hello-panda/" class="more-link">Continue Reading <?span class="meta-nav">→<?/span><?/a>

The <a href> bit etc makes it look really terrible, and I was wondering how I could fix that.

Also, when I link to my site’s main page, it grabs a random image and doesn’t follow the description I’ve written in the meta tags (using the Yoast SEO plugin).

Is there something wrong that I’m doing? Thank you!

Well you have my plugin outputting og: tags on lines 109-121 in source and you have WPSEO doing them too and also there’s another plugin outputting them too. So… you need to choose one and turn the other plugins/settings off. If you have more than one set of open graph tags facebook starts to freak out.

Thank you for the response! I’ve deactivated WP SEO’s Facebook OG tags and left yours activated, but the HTML still shows up. I’ve removed what I think are the conflicting plugins, too.

Is it theme-related? Because I saw that in your updates list, you had to remove the “Continue Reading” injection in particular themes so I don’t know if it’s a setup of my theme that this is happening – I’m using Fashionistas.

You still have another plugin outputting open graph tags and that’s the one that is outputting html in the tags. not mine.

Here’s a screenshot of my plugin output: https://i.imgur.com/VX6ihqK.png

    Here’s a screenshot of that other one’s output: https://i.imgur.com/WyqKVsI.png

Sorry I can’t tell what plugin is doing that for you but you should try turning off other social plugins and viewing that page source to see when that other code goes away. Good luck!
