Facebook Debugger Says I Have "meta tags in body". Fix?
-
Hello all,
So a test of a post from my WordPress site in the Facebook debugger tool brings up some errors. The main one that I think may be the cause of the one problem that I’m having with sharing links (featured image shows up out of order) is the “Meta Tags In Body Error”. Full error message reads: “Your page has meta tags in the body instead of the head. This may be because your HTML was malformed and they fell lower in the parse tree.
Please fix this in order for the tags to be usable”.Can someone explain how I can fix this error? Please understand that I really don’t have any experience in-depth with HTML and CSS, but I’m not stupid either. Looking for a specific, as simple as possible solution if possible. Thank you.
Here’s a link to a post. If you put that into Facebook like you were going to share it, you’ll see that the actual featured image shows up second. The first image that shows up is just an image found elsewhere on my site, and it’s actually a pretty big problem because it’s an affiliate’s logo and it doesn’t look good when people are sharing from our site. You can use that same link in the Facebook debugger to see the error messages as well.
