Facebook counter shows 0, SharedCount works

  • Thank you for building and maintaining this plugin.

    I seem to have a problem with the Facebook counter.

    The SharedCount tool https://www.sharedcount.com/app/ shows 11 Facebook shares for https://eetpraat.nl/wordpress/index.php/scones-recept/ However, the Facebook counter on the web page shows 0. The Pinterest counter on the same page works and matches the 4 shares on the SharedCount tool.

    It’s the same problem with all of the pages on my website: Pinterest counter works, Facebook counter stays at 0. In the plugin, I’m using SharedCount.com as the source. I have a valid SharedCount account and API.

    I installed your plugin Shared Counts Cache, but it says “31 of 31 items have Shared Counts data (100%).” and does not show a refresh button or a “Update posts with missing data” hyperlink. This is incorrect – there is Pinterest data, but no Facebook data. I found a workaround though: for every post I have to go to edit post, and refresh the counters in the Share Counts widget. According to the dates, most counters have not been refreshed since june last year.

    How can I make sure everything gets and stays updated?

    I installed WP Crontrol to check for cron jobs, but don’t see any jobs related to this plugin. That could explain the problem. I don’t know how to fix this. Deactivating and reactivating the Shared Counts plugin did not help.
