    Hi there,

It may be due to Facebook API limit in your domain?Have you used any other FB plugins too?If yes then please check once by disabling other plugins.

    Thanks.

Thank you for your reply! I have installed 3 other social plugins and the Facebook count fails on all 3 of them, so I it’s unlikely that the Accesspress Social Counter is at fault.

I have contacted my hosting provider, and they cannot seem to sort things out. I understand it is beyond your scope of duty to give support to issues outside of the plugin itself, however, given that this is a recurring problem, perhaps you could point me in the right direction for future reference.

Would you mind elaborating on how I might be able to modify the Facebook API limit in my domain?

By the way, a technician on my hosting provider emailed me saying they are getting this error from the plugin (although I think it’s probably unrelated to the Facebook issue):

[Wed May 13 23:25:25 2015] [error] [client 66.162.212.19] PHP Warning: number_format() expects parameter 1 to be double, string given in /nas/wp/www/cluster-2809/overdrivemx/wp-content/plugins/accesspress-social-counter/accesspress-social-counter.php on line 324

    Hi there,

That error is showing due to fail of getting the count from the facebook due API request limit.

The facebook API limit is 1 request per second this will happen if your site has huge traffic or you have more than one facebook app running in your site due to which it is sending more than one API request to the facebook. The issue is related with the facebook themselves so we are not sure about the solution of this problem.

But if you want then we can check in bit detail about the issue by logging into your site by sending the login and error details in our support email [email protected]

    Thanks.
