• We have members on our site who can create their own profile using WordPress’s user tables.

Do you know whether there’s a way FB connect can work alongside registered users in WordPress?

thanks,

Zac

Too bad this plugin won’t work on WordPress MU.

FB connect is a great plugin but makes my site really SLOW. My homepage takes forever to load.

it’s till does,nt work with IE
the plugin doing great with firefox but just dont work in IE ??

Has anyone got a fix for this for IE? I can’t get it working in IE, despite the suggestions above.

If you are having issues with the sociable plugin I can tell you that the problem is not the plugin, is the theme you are using. As said above you need to add to the header the following:

<html xmlns=”https://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml” xmlns:fb=”https://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml”>

Also you should review the theme’s CSS, header.php and footer.php coding.
If you are still having issues with the plugin post the link here so taht we can take a look.

Mine is running with no issues at https://www.carlosmariomejia.com/blog

Simple design.

Works fine with 2.7 on my blog:

I’m having trouble getting the facebook connect logo to show up (twitter logo as well). I think it has something to do with the theme I chose but I’m having trouble figuring it out.

This is my site:

Hi, I am having some issues with making this plugin work with an Arthemia Premium theme. I have tried installing the extra code as mentioned on Sociable’s site, but it does not change anything. Basically the login all works, but the box with all the other users pics in the sidebar does not work. When I click to load up my community it says I have 16 friends, but no pictures load up. Any ideas? I wouldn’t know where to start with the css.
At the moment I have added the extra code to the header but not the footer cause it seems to make things worst
the site is here

Hi everybody,
I have the same problem than ‘girlstoys’ as you can see here. I can’t see the connect button and the pictures of the community members in IE. Of course have I also included the ‘extra code’ in the header.php file but I thing the problem probably is in the theme style file (it’s a pretty theme, perhaps too much, called Strawberry Blend).

It would be really nice if you could help me with this annoying problem.
Thnx,
Alex

Hi,
me again!
I found ‘smartec’ idea really practical, that was why I’ve also created a test site with the Strawberry Blend theme and the fbconnect plugin installed.
