Facebook comments – spam problem

  • I installed facebook comments for wordpress plugin properly – all works out just fine. But!…. I haven’t even published my new post and I already have 6 spam comments in post preview (dated August 12 – although I just created this post half an hour ago and as mentioned – I haven’t even published it jet.

    When I checked my other post – a lot of them have similar spam comments dated from 4 – 12 August.

    I would even gladly deleted them without any complaints if I would know where – ‘couse it seems like they are some kind of ghost comments – they do not appear in my wordpress comment list (protected by akismet), neither on Facebook comment list.

    Please help. It is driving me nuts :0

  • I have exactly the same problem here. Rogue comments totally unrelated to my website are turning up – all dated earlier in August before I installed this plugin. Lots of them are in foreign characters also, they are all over my blog I have had to manually delete dozens of them. Then, when I did have two comments they totally disappeared after a few hours. I had to uninstall the plugin.

    I am having the same exact problem here as well.

    i have this exact problem too… Please suggest a solution…!
