I am having some problems hard coding the placement of the Facebook Comments.

I want them to appear after the links to the next or previous story. But no mater where I place my code ( <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[fbcomments]’); ?>
) it keeps it right below the signature of the post.

I currently have the above code placed in the sinlge.php file after the footer but it still stays in the same location. This is a problem on all browsers. Link to a post ( https://rashidasthomas.com/manage-student-loan-debt/ )

Can you please help me to figure out why I cant move the comments to the desired location?

  • Do they appear twice? After inserting this code did you uncheck for the box to automatically appear on posts?

    Hello Alex Moss,
Many many thanks for this useful plugin. But i am facing a problem and don’t understand how to fix this. I am using wordpress 4.1 and Facebook Comments 2.2.3
I use <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[fbcomments]’); ?> to show comments. But it shows twice. I don’t find any checkbox to uncheck automatically appear on posts.

Can you please help me to figure it out?

This is in the backend of the site under Settings -> Facebook Comments.

    Hope this helps ??

    Thanks for your reply.
But under Settings -> Facebook Comments there is no option in my dashboard for Automatically Appear on Posts to check/uncheck.

Under display settings uncheck the box next to Singular Posts. That will remove the first comment box.

how can i go about replacing the native wordpress comments on posts with the Facebook comments box. The native wordpress comments are at the bottom of my page under related posts in a separate box, but the fb comments show directly beneath content and above related posts in the same box. its too congested. how can I use fb comments but placed where wordpress comments are by default?

You can insert the shortcode into the comments.php file of your theme manually.
