Hey guys I’m struggling with decision here. I currently have Shipstation and all my woocommerce orders import to Shipstation. Everything Woocommerce syncs to Quickbooks etc, reports etc. Right now my Facebook for Woocommerce is linked and checkout method is set up as Checkout on my site. So customer sees on FB or IG and they would checkout on my site and it will show on my woocommerce as a web sale etc. But I see it is better to change the checkout method to Checkout on IG or FB. This allows to run promotions, product launches etc.

Does anyone run this method? If so when customer checks out, I won’t see this on woocommerce? IT won’t send to Shipstation? How does one see the order? Is there a way to sync these FB/IG orders so they show on woocommerce and then sync to Shipstation and QBO etc? I just don’t want to lose these syncs if I do this. Anyone run into this or how exactly that method works or shows on woocommerce? Thanks again guys!

  • Hi @jm1080! I understand you’re wondering if orders made on Facebook will sync to ShipStation.

They should, yes. Orders are synced from your Facebook shop to your WooCommerce store, as explained here, so ShipStation should pick them up. They can be completed the same way normal orders are as well, where ShipStation will automatically update the status to “Completed” once they’ve shipped.

awesome thanks! Also one question I noticed FB charges 5% where as if I use my site it is only 3% Is there a real benefit using FB as checkout instead of site? Does FB provide a better ranking or better conversions you think?

    Hey @jm1080,

    > Is there a real benefit using FB as checkout instead of site?

That depends on your personal needs. As the plugin Developers, we aren’t really capable of providing guidance there, but I’ve found this post that maybe could help you decide:

    I hope that helps!
