Of all the plug-ins I run, I get more problems with revive old post than any other. The most recent breakage had become so bad I resorted to uninstalling everything and trying a new install in an attempt to create a functioning Facebook App (largely in the hope that perhaps the instructions had been updated and the step sequencing might at least bear some resemblance to what was appearing on screen). It’s really difficult for me to pin down exactly where it breaks. I’ve tried all the instructions, and tried to follow the video, but I still can’t get this thing to work. I’d be prepared to buy the Pro version again if I could be confident that even the basic version was functional

The nearest I’ve got to completing it generated this error: “Can’t load URL: The domain of this URL isn’t included in the app’s domains. To be able to load this URL, add all domains and sub-domains of your app to the App Domains field in your app settings” (which is a lesson in how not to write instruction in itself)

The instructions start to break down at step 3 when a few things specified aren’t offered as options. They’re inconsistent at step 5 and 8 and also at step 10. Ultimately I used to have something that pulled the Facebooks pages through, that no longer happens. I think the problem resolves to this issue to the unclear instructions in the app domain areas even if I’m copying the code that its prompting me to

    Help!

  • I have the same problem. Facebook have changed the App and the plugin instructions need to be updated. It’s not been posting to Facebook for a few weeks now.

Hi there, ensure you app domain is added to the appdomains area, it will automatically change to your website URL if you make it anything longer than the base URL.

Facebook usually changes things around so this happens every now and then. Another change you need to make is detailed on this page at the bottom where it says “UPDATE”:

    https://docs.themeisle.com/article/66-how-to-create-a-facebook-application

I’m also having huge problems setting up the Facebook page connection for our page https://www.facebook.com/azammarketing . Worked fine a few years ago when I first set-up ROP, but now, as Facebook has changed massively in that time, the instructions are out of date and significantly different to what Facebook presents me with. Tried several times now but doesn’t work.

Please can the creators write up some updated instructions, as lots of people seem to be having the same issue with Facebook configuration instructions being outdated.

    Thanks.

Same here. My plugin sent posts to facebook without images. I deleted plugin and install again. Now go same error as melponeme: “Can’t load URL: The domain of this URL isn’t included in the app’s domains. To be able to load this URL, add all domains and sub-domains of your app to the App Domains field in your app settings”
And can’t do anything. Everything is right in Facebook but plugin can’t connect with it…
