Fabulous wonderful plugin
-
Update after 2 months of use:
It is wonderful not to have the marketing messages and the features we don’t use… but not so good when we also lose features we do use.
2 of my Woocommerce extensions wouldn’t renew. Woocommerce told me to go to the Extensions page and activate them. But… there was no link to the Extensions page! The nice lady at Woocommerce looked again and noticed this plugin and suggested I deactivate it and see what happened.
That fixed the problem.
I logged on to the Support Forum for this Disable Bloat plugin and saw several recent reports of things missing or broken in Woocommerce after recent updates. The plugin’s authors seem to be responding and fixing the problems very quickly, which is great. But I already have too many things to do, so I’ll delete the program for now.
When I think about it, maybe it is not such a good idea to try to disable some of the core Woocommerce features when you are running a Woocommerce website. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that there were some unintended consequences.
Original review:
Thank you for this plugin. My WordPress Admin area is now 5 to 10 times faster than before. It used to take 15 or 20 seconds to go from the site home page to the Admin area… now: usually less than 4 seconds! Everything I need is still there. One surprise is that there are fewer menu items on the Woocommerce list, so it is easier to go straight to the Orders page.
If you are running Woocommerce and you’d like to speed up your “back end” then don’t even think about it… just install and activate this plugin. Then when you see how well it works, send them a small donation like I did.
Thanks for this wonderful plugin.
