    Hello all,

    I have just upgraded to wp 3.0 and had the msg to upgrade my site theme to Arras 1.4.3.1.

    I did that and then remembered all the modifications I made!. Can I rollback the entire theme upgrade with an ez backup .tgz file? I cant seem to find any resources on how to restore these files. the database is ok; the theme is the one all screwed up now.

    Many thanks in advance

  • If you’re referring to a database backup, then I’m afraid that your theme modifications won’t have been saved in there. The database does not store changes the theme template files.

    Thanks, I thought there was a full directory backup with ez wordpress backup plugin; but there seems to be no help on whether this is true or how to to restore it. Looks like I’ll have to redo the whole thing from scratch.

    Thanks for your help though

    Have you actually looked at one of these backup archives? If it’s a full backup (files + db), I’d imagine it’s a pretty big file but it might be worth checking it – just in case…

    I have one that is 37.3 mb but i’m now worried about deleting all the folders and doing a restore on my main site (articleoutlook.com); I tried on a smaller site and ended up with losts of php errors! I think I’ll just have to redo the styling and modifications and put it down to experience

    To resolve this post;
    My web host had a back up from 3 days prior and they installed the backup ??
    Now using child themes in case this happens again!
