Before installing, I read that the Free version would allow posts to 12 platforms.
it does NOT explicitly say that you can’t use the Free version for Twitter or Bluesky. Those 12 platforms are mostly random things I’ve never heard of or not interested in. Their wording is deliberately obfuscatory.

I tried everything to get some clarity and direction. Read screeds and screeds and screeds of forums and FAQs. Tried their AI HelpBot with its circular Menu-Go-Round and looked for Contacts. Nothing.

So, basically, they do NOT offer a Free version. If you want to actually use this plugin, the Pro version is the only option. So don’t waste your time going down this very frustrating rabbit hole like I did.

If they don’t want people – you know those old-fashioned inconvenient things, that use WordPress – to use their Free version, don’t tease a “Free” version. Be honest and market it explicitly as a Pro only plugin and don’t waste peoples time. Simple.

Funny thing is that they keep sending me no-reply emails, as a non-user, and today sent one with a link to leave a “5 Star WordPress Rating”. With a paragraph saying if you wanted to leave a complaint to use another link to bury the complaint deep in their HelpMaze?
So this is my only means of communicating with them and any potential budget-restricted users looking for a Free plugin.

I leave one star only because I can’t leave what the plugin deserves… Zero Stars.

We are sorry to hear your opinion @thecuriousporcupine and that you rate our plugin on the basis of a misinterpretation.

Like many other plugins on WordPress, Blog2Social is Freemium, which means that we offer a basic Free version as well as advanced features in the Premium versions. The features available in the Free and Premium versions are detailed in the WordPress description, in the plugin FAQ and in the pricing list. More than 70.000 users worldwide appreciate the broad range of features and options. Many of our users are perfectly happy with the Free version.

Of course, you can use Bluesky in the Free version. Unfortunately, due to the recent policy changes of X (formerly Twitter), X has been available as an add-on in version 8.2.0 of Blog2Social since December 2, 2024.
For our Free users, we’re pleased to offer access to Threads as alternative platform in the Free version. Please refer to this post in the Blog2Social Community for further information:
