Extremely annoying with loud marketing and bad code

  • So here is the review that you are constantly begging for:

    This plugin goes extremely on my nerves by constantly bugging me in the admin screen about this or that. It is really very annoying.

    This could be tolerated if it was produced by a brilliant coder – unfortunately this is not the case. The plugin can only serve as a good bad example for how not to write code – it triggers so many sql statements that your server will break with just a few posts.

    Usually a wordpress consultant will uninstall this plugin as one of the first actions to speed up a slow blog. Several wordpress hosting companies are not allowing this plugin to be installed because it is written in such a bad way that it kills server performance.

    So no good code + constantly annoying people in the admin – a very bad combination. Do not use it.

    Thanks for taking the time to write a review and sorry to hear you were so very annoyed by us asking you to write a review.

    I guess whether or not our marketing is annoying is an opinion, so again sorry you feel this way about it.

    However, stating that our plugin:

    – adds so many sql statements

    – will break your server with just a few posts

    are simply LIES.

    Our plugin has proven to keep being stable and fast on website with ten-thousands of posts, is not banned by any hosting company to our knowledge (including hosts that block most other related post plugins) and adds 1 SQL query to your post single page.

    WP Speedster, which tested over 25000 plugins, concluded that: Home page PageSpeed score has been degraded by 0%, while Post page PageSpeed score has been degraded by 0%. In other words, our plugin has 0 effect on your website performance!

    Again, you are of course entitled to your own opinion and it’s your right to give us a 1 star review if you wish to do so. But please do not include lies in your review which will scare and misinform non-technical people.

    I use Related Posts for WordPress without any noticeable slowdowns. Works fine for me.

    Maybe another plugin is creating his problem.
