Extraneous database rows created for The Event Calendar posts
-
Hello.
We have found a conflict between your plugin and The Events Calendar plugin. They have been notified as well, and are investigating.
Our customer (https://www.apex-nuerburg.com/) enters a LOT of events at the start of the year, then doesn’t really add anything until the start of next year.
As many events are nearly identical to previous events, we added your plugin to let them more quickly add these events.
While this plugin works great for posts, pages, and other custom post types, for some reason, when duplicating posts created by The Events Calendar, 100s of 1000s of extraneous, identical rows are added to the
wp_postmeta
table, which causes the site to break in all kinds of ways, including the Events calendar appearing empty on the frontend, and the Events list saying “No results found” in the WP Admin…In case you are interested in researching this, I would be happy to help where I can, including trying to connect you with The Events Calendar team that is investigating, please just let me know.
Thanks!
