extracting content from dead WordPress install

I was recently following some bad tutorials and due to some poor doodling on my part, my local WordPress site is now dead (cannot log in or get it to run properly since trying to transfer to server).

So I’m happy to start all over again from scratch (this time from the server) but the process would go a lot faster if I could recover my page contents and maybe some of my posts. Is this possible at all? I still have all my login info/ password and all the files, just can’t seem to find the content.
