Extra quotation marks in blockquotes

  • My blockquotes are demonstrating a weird behavior. They automatically add quotation marks at the beginning of every paragraph of the quote and at the end of the final paragraph–not a large image of a quotation mark at the beginning, as in some themes, but regular punctuation marks that I can’t delete, like so:

    “This is the first paragraph.
    “This is the second paragraph.
    “This is the final paragraph.”

    How do I get rid of them?

    My theme is Mixr, which is a child theme of Stargazer.
