Extra paragraph or line added to display of shortcode

In using the basic display shortcode, [download id=”492″], an extra line or paragraph is added before the display of the download. This is troublesome when I try and display a list of downloads, with their respective download counts in a table format.

In a two column table, with the first column being the name of the download, and the second column being the download count, the download name is displayed with a extra line or paragraph before the download name, and the download count lines up with the extra line or paragraph.
Even just displaying the download shortcode on a page by itself displays the extra line or paragraph.
Does anyone know how to remove this extra line or paragraph from the shortcode display?
