extra paragraph marks turning up in excerpts

    In seemingly random cases, on my archive pages, some excerpts have extra paragraph marks tacked on to the beginning and end. It doesn’t seem to be related to how the article is formatted, and I’ve never been able to figure this out. Anyone know what I’m talking about and how to fix it? Using WP 1.5, thanks.

  • I’m experiencing this annoying bug too using version 2.0.6. In my case when the Markdown plug-in (1.0.1c) is activated the_excerpt() wrap output text with a additional P element.

    Any patch to fix the issue?
