Since I’ve updated to 2.6 and now 2.61 I’ve been having an issue with my RSS feed which would give me this error message:

    “XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
    Location: https://www.killzoneunit.com/kz/?feed=rss2
    Line Number 1, Column 2:<<?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?>
    -^ “

As you can see, there’s an extra open bracket in there which I’ve searched and searched for and couldn’t find. This extra bracket also shows up in the top left of my dashboard as, you can see in the image below:

Does anyone have any clue where I should look to fix this?

    Thanks.

I’ve tried removing all of my plugins and I get the same results.

Did you check your root (short and sweet) index.php?

I’ve checked my index and I found nothing out of the ordinary. I’m stumped.

Problem found. Thanks to another thread which someone had an issue with their RSS feed, I was linked to a site containing the files that I should check.

I checked wp-config and it did contain an extra “<” which is now removed.

    Problem solved. Thanks moshu.
