    Hello EazyDocs Team,

I’m experiencing an issue after upgrading the EazyDocs plugin from version 2.4.1 to 2.5.0. Same issue persists after trying 2.5.2 too. After the upgrade, all internal documentation links now include an extra ‘/-/’ after the domain name. For example:

    • Current (after upgrade): https://docs.site.com/-/faq/
    • Expected (before upgrade): https://docs.site.com/faq/

Directly entering the correct URLs still works, but all automatically generated internal links are affected.

Here are some details and steps I’ve already taken to troubleshoot:

    1. Environment: The issue occurs in a WordPress setup where I cannot disable other addons for testing. However, version 2.4.1 of EazyDocs worked fine with the same addons, so it’s likely something specific to the updates in versions 2.5.0 and after.
    2. Permalink Settings: I’ve tried resetting the permalink structure in WordPress by switching to a different structure, saving, and then reverting to the original settings. Unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue.
    3. Version Rollback: Rolling back to version 2.4.1 solves the problem, which confirms that the issue is introduced starting from version 2.5.0.

Given that this appears to be a bug or configuration change introduced in the recent updates, could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue? Are there any new settings or steps I need to follow to fix the URL structure?

    Hi,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you’ve faced with our plugin after the recent updates.

To help us resolve this issue, could you please clarify if the extra “/-/” is appearing only on the EazyDocs documentation pages, or if it also affects other default WordPress pages or posts? Alternatively, you could share a screenshot of the URLs where the extra “/-/” occurs. If possible, sharing your site URL would also allow us to take a closer look at the problem.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we’re here to help!

    Best regards,
    EazyDocs Support Team

Thank you for your prompt response!

To clarify, the extra “/-/” appears only on the EazyDocs documentation pages. It specifically affects the links in the widgets generated by the plugin, such as those found in the main menu and sidebar. However, URLs that are explicitly set in the nav.bar or documents content are not affected and work correctly.

Currently, we have rolled back to version 2.4.1 of the EazyDocs plugin on our site, as we cannot use versions 2.5.0 and higher in our production environment due to this issue. You can visit our site at: https://docs.softinventive.com/.

I’ve attached two screenshots showing the URL issues when the plugin EazyDocs v2.5.2 is active:

And additionally, here is two screenshots showing that explicitly set URLs in the nav.bar and content sections are unaffected:

Please let me know if you need any further information to point me how to resolve this issue with newer version of the plugin. Thanks for your help!

Thank you for your detailed explanation and the screenshots provided!

We apologize for the delayed response. We’ve tested the latest version of EazyDocs in multiple environments but couldn’t replicate the issue you’re experiencing. You can see our test results here:

To help us better identify the root cause, could you please try updating to the latest version of EazyDocs in another environment or a staging site? This will help determine if the issue is specific to your current setup.

Let us know how it goes or if you need any further assistance!

    Best regards,
    EazyDocs Support Team
