I have a fooGallery that I added to a page and it appears to be working fine however when I click one of the images to show the lightbox (foobox), the initial image I click on shows a larger image of it behind the lightbox and when I close the lightbox it is still there and I have to close it as well to get back to the gallery page.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @sharond214

I have tested this and observed that when the gallery image is clicked, it is opened in two lightboxes at the same time. The one overlaying the other is FooBox, while the second one is most likely a lightbox from another different plugin or one that is built-in to the theme you are using.

To prevent the second lightbox from also being opened, there are a number of solutions you can implement. First, if it’s from a plugin or built-in to the theme, you can disable the plugin or the lightbox feature from the theme/plugin settings. You can get in touch with your developer or the support team of the theme you are using to assist you with this.

The second option is to go to FooBox -> Settings, and on the “Advanced” tab select the “Disable Other Lightboxes” checkbox as shown in this linked image and save changes: https://prnt.sc/tB5J5-opN1jz

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis.

Hi Elvis – I have already disabled other lightboxes before posting this and it doesn’t help. Any other ideas?

    Hi @sharond214

Kindly use the first solution I mentioned in the previous images. The lightbox is from another plugin or is built-in to the theme and so you will need to identify where it is coming from and disable the feature.

It’s really tough for me to find out if the lightbox is from which plugin or if it’s built-in to the theme so you or your developer will have to login to the WordPress admin section and investigate this from your end. It’s a really simple process of looking at the features of each plugin and the theme and identifying which one has a lightbox feature other than FooBox and FooGallery.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis.

Hmm, I’ve disabled all the plugins and still have the issue. Maybe it is something built into Kadence theme, I’ll reach out to them

I think it has something to do with the Thumbnail link in the foogallery itself. If I turn off FooBox and the thumbnail link is set to Full size image or Custom URL the individual image appears when I click on it. If I select Image Attachment page or Not linked it does not. However with either of the last two options the lightbox also does not appear. What I want is the individual image not to appear but the lightbox to show up when clicking an image
