Extra charge disappears from checkout page when I switch shipping method

    Hi there,

    I’ve set up a €5 extra charge for the “cash on delivery” payment method. I’ve disabled the “cash on delivery” for the “local pickup” shipping method, so when I select the local pickup on the order checkout page, then the “cash on delivery” disappears along with the €5 extra charge.

    Here is the problem: if I switch again to another shipping method, the “cash on delivery” payment comes back, but if selected, the €5 extra charge is not here anymore.

    This is a serious problem because the user could choose the “cash on delivery” method without paying the extra fee. Could you please find a solution? Thank you.

    Hi Augusto,

    I have tested it out and it looks like there might be something wrong at your side. You could test it here – https://uc6mfrhn.versionpress.com/checkout/ Cash on delivery is available only for local pickup, here you go with settings. It looks like it works as it might. Just make sure that you have the newest plugin and WooCommerce version. If it doesn’t work, switch off every single plugin except this and WooCommerce and change the theme to Storefront. If it works, there is a conflict with another plugin or your theme.

    Solved with a couple of custom PHP snippets.

    I was right about the possibility of a plugin conflict. In fact, head84 is using the Woocommerc Advanced Shipping plugin from Jeroen Sormani and turns out that the advanced shipping methods created with his plugin don’t interact well with the standard shipping methods (i.e. the standard WooCommerce “local pickup”).
