hi – please ignore issue 2) regarding “About Me”

    I found a workaround.

I just still can’t figure out why there are extra boxes in the Menu Tree. Again my site is:

    Thanks!!

The pages Listen and Let’s talk doesn’t have parents, that’s why there are “extra boxes” in your tree.

Either sort them under parent pages or add their page ID’s to the “exclude pages/posts” field in the admin area.

Thanks ulfben for your reply. My intention is to have Listen and Let’s Talk at same level as Who’s Ricker? and Music Heals! THat’s why they did not have parents

But I took your suggestion and now have Who’s RIcker as parents for Listen and Let’s Talk, but still there are these extra boxes. PLease expand the tree and you will see what I mean… as you expand the tree, more empty boxes appear

    again it is at https://www.rickerchoi.com

    your help is greatly appreciated!!

Those are not extra boxes – that’s the default behaviour of dtree, and your custom graphics. The first box is the “t-cross dotted line” and the second box on the same level is a “horizontal dotted lin”.

If you don’t want to link nodes with icons you’ll have to alter the javascript. (or, by all means, replace the icon)

Thanks again, ulfben. But how come other people’s web pages that use this plugin don’t show the grey boxes?

I now suspect my wordpress theme automatically added some border to each image, and hence i see a shadow which make the boxes visible to the eye.

How do you tihnk I can turn these border off for the tree (but still have them for regular images in my web site?)

    Thanks!!

ok – just ignore this issue for now – I disabled the shadow, and showing no lines drawn seem to be acceptable for now. Thanks for your help!!!

    2) the link “About Me” – is pointing to https://www.rickerchoi.com/https://www.rickerchoi.com; instead of just https://www.rickerchoi.com/ (my main page)

how did you fix this issue ?

Yes, please do tell! I’m having the same issue with the double URL when utilizing a static page as the front page.

Permalinks are set custom using “/%postname%”. Any help would be appreciated.

seems like the creator of this plugin went M.I.A.
and it’s a shame that he poster that found a work around is also unreachable.

Jimmy over att ecommrade (seems to be down atm) had this exact problem back in november. I fixed the issue then but obviously forgot to commit the changes.

The plugin is updated now. You only need to replace dtree.php. The fix is simple: if a link begins with “https://”, wp-dtree will not prepend the blog URL to it anymore.

Let me know if it causes any trouble.

Hi sorry I had not been following this post. Someone sent me a message through my web site, and I realize you guys are looking for my workaround.

Ok… the ‘workaround’ is really a hack. What I did is I totally forget using a static page at all. I instead create a post whose date I always set it as the most recent, hence it appears 1st thing in my 1st page.

Is this clear? If not, send me a email at [email protected], as I may forget to check this post again. so sorry!!!
