    Hi,

I’m using WP Google Analytics Events Pro 2.0.1 and found a small issue with this version.

Somehow it causes an extra <body> tag within the content placed by <?php the_content(); ?>. Right before the content starts: “<p><body></p>”.

This triggers the issue that special chars look strange:

    • ? becomes ??x
    • ? is becomes ?ˉn
    • Etc

My hosting partner fixed this on my website manually. Can you please fix this in the next release?

    Thank you,

    Carlo

    Hi,

I am investigating a similar issue as we speak.
Are you using the plugin’s shortcodes by any chance?

    Thanks,

    Yuval

    Hi Yval,

I set Track Links Enabled, Links to track = all. And on only 2 pages I am using the shortcode:

[scrollevent cat=”Sales pagina boek” action=”Scroll” label=”Scroll naar prijs”]De prijs per boek is <b>daarom dus nu slechts € 19,50</b>.[/scrollevent]

Indeed there the issue persists: https://supersnelgezond.nl/receptenboek-een-bron-van-energie/

But the extra body tag right before the main content was on each and every page. Also the pages where no shortcode is used.

    Hope this helps,

    Carlo

    Hi Yuval,

The <body> tag is no longer before the main content on each and every page. The update fixes the special char issue.

However, I still see an extra <body> right in front of the scroll event created using the shortcode option on this page: https://supersnelgezond.nl/receptenboek-een-bron-van-energie/

Hopefully you can fix that one too.

    Thanks,

    Carlo
