    Hi Jessica,

This is actually an issue that is only affecting users on WPEngine. I am already working directly with them to get this sorted out and will hopefully have a solution in the next few days. If I do not have a solution quickly then I will be able to give you a temporary work around until they have it sorted out.

I will update you on the status of the fix with them.

    Cheers,
    Hugh

Oh great- thank you Hugh! I wondered if WP Engine may have something to do with it as Ive run into issues before on other plugins when hosting with them.
Keep me posted and until then I will watch from word from you. Thanks so much!

I’ve got things wrapped up with WP Engine for this now. All you need to do is log a support ticket with them telling them that you are using Seriously Simple Podcasting and you need them to add the Nginx bypass rule for the podcast-download and podcast-player URLs.

I will add a guide in the documentation for this soon, but that’s all you need to do to get things sorted out ??

Oh perfect- thanks Hugh! I have done so and they helped me out right away.
Thank you again, greatly appreciate your quick and helpful support!

    Best, JJ

WP Engine support, now via chat only you cannot open a ticket, didn’t know anything about Seriously Simple Podcasting and kept asking what what rule I needed them to add. Can someone spell out what WP Engine needs to be told?

Nevermind – the next WP Engine tech fixed it in seconds.

I’ll ping them about this as they should all know about it, but you need to tell them this:

Please prevent caching for all URLs that include either podcast-download or podcast-player.

That will cover things and they’ll know what to do.
