External MySQL server causing slowness
-
I am currently running a blog on a 512MB RAM Linode server. This server runs a couple WordPress sites and lately they have been getting slower and locking up the server because of all of them getting high amounts of hits.
All of the WordPress installations use W3 Total Cache and use Rackspace Cloud Files as a CDN for Images and CSS files.
I decided yesterday to get a Rackspace Cloud Server (256MB RAM) and use it only for MySQL. So I installed MySQL server and dumped the database into it.
The sites seem to run fine but there really REALLY slow. Both servers are running fine CPU wise but I was wonder if there is a way to optimize or make it faster so they aren’t so slow.
The site I am referring to is https://logiclounge.com if you want to experience it for yourself.
Thanks in advance for any help.
