External Links Opening in New AND Current Tab/Window

    For some reason external links on my site that are tagged to open in a new window/tab are opening in BOTH a new window, AND in the current one. I’m using the target= “_blank” attribute. I’ve seen this problem discussed on the drupal support forum, but not here. Can anyone help me fix this issue pretty please?

  • _blank Opens the linked document in a new window or tab
    _self Opens the linked document in the same frame as it was clicked (this is default)

    Hi IMI,

    Yes that is understood, however the problem I am having is that _blank is performing both actions: it is opening the link in a new window AND the same window at the same time. Any ideas why it is behaving this way?

    Make sure you have not checked this radio link in menu
    Open link in a new window/tab

    Nothing checked. This also happens when I embed the link directly, such as under a banner on my sidebar ??
