External links – Issue

  • Hi. Plugin has an option: “open all external links in new tab”.

    It’s cool.

    I have affiliate links like https://makaka.org/o/ar-menu.

    Part “/o/ar-menu” is generated by a plugin called Easy Affiliates Links.

    1. It would be cool if you make addition of your option to open such links also in new tab.

    So I need opportunity of set a link template like /o/* to open my special links in new tab also because they execute redirect to external website.

    2. Also, your plugin creates own redirect to my redirect link when i create affiliate Link with Easy Affiliate Links plugin: https://joxi.ru/DmBwpBgSwXxZQ2
    I don’t need that. Please fix it.

    3. Also, I no need of using Easy Affiliates Links plugin, if you create something like folders or categories for redirects.

    If the issue is there, then please activate the default theme and test.

    If the issue is not there with your current theme, then please activate all the other plugins one by one.

    P.S. I’ve disabled Cron in WP Config and it is running with hosting cron tab.

    Yes, the internal Cron jobs are required for a few things to work properly in the Rank Math plugin.

    Please enable them and the issue should be resolved.

    I no need that cron.php execute every time as visitor opens a page (by default in WP) because it eats system resources.

    Normal Practice is turn off wp cron and run it manually through hosting panel , e.g. every 6 hours.

    Please, resolve the issue with redirects by another way.

    P.S. Yoast SEO Premium works normally with this.

    @mythemeshop unfortunately, no. After creating affiliate link (https://makaka.org/o/course-one-klove) with Ease Affiliate Links plugin, your redirection module create new links like “o/4158”.

    P.S. I’ve updated plugin to last version.

    Sorry for the confusion there. I mean that we handled the issue with the cron job.

    For the other suggestions, as mentioned, I have added the internal vote to them. There are other feature requests as well and if your suggestions make to the final version, we will definitely let you know.
