External links automatically changing to nofollow

Hi there, i’ve started noticing that every external link I add to the website’s I create automatically convert to nofollow links. Normally i prefer this but for certain links I would like to have control over what should and shouldnt be nofollow. Even if I don’t select the link to be nofollow, it still ends up apprearing as nofollow in the source coude. Your assistance would be great!
