External link on home page

  • Hi,
    can anyone help me how to place external url links on home page ( in recommended side section)? Is it even possible as I’ve tried many times with no success. Many thanks ??

  • If you are trying to place external links in the side bar, you can do 2 things:

    1. under APPEARANCE>WIDGETS use a TEXT widget, drag it into the sidebar you want it in and add the link as straight up HTML text.

    or

    2. Set the link (or links) up in the LINKS section in the admin, then go to APPEARANCE>WIDGETS and drag the LINKS widget into the sidebar you want.

    I personally find option 2 the best bet.
