External link attachments

  • My media files (audio & video) are situated on a separate dedicated server (with own domain).

    My problem is that I cannot import them in the Media Library (register them as attachments and use in the theme). In other words, I can embed them in posts through the theme, but I can not search them by the attachment functionality and display through mobile plugins.

    The only solution I found is the Media Helpers plugin but it has not been supported for long time.
