External Image URL

Hi
Is it possible to use the Flexslider and pull in external images rather than having them hosted on my WordPress site?
For example, having an image at https://www.example.net/image.jpg rather than linking it from within the media library.
The reason I want this is because the media library is so bad at organising files, I want to use FTP for my site’s admins to keep everything more organised.
