• Hi guys, i was wondering if the following was possible:

I have a website that is static and built from scratch (php files) located at https://www.domain.com – What i want to do is install wordpress also in the root directory so that i can have some pages running from WordPress (news etc) and some running themselves (not wordpress), is this possible? I understand you can do static front pages within wordpress but this is still done through the admin panel.

Reason for doing this is that i don’t want to put wordpress in a sub folder because i want some wordpress powered pages to be:

    https://www.domain.com/blue-widgets not https://www.domain.com/subfolder/blue-widgets

and i also don’t want to change any of my code for my front page incase it jeopardizes SERPS

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Alan
