Exterior dimensions for custom packages?

I’m using a custom box for packaging and WooCommerce suggests that I enter both the inner and exterior dimensions. The box isn’t bulky nor does the size change after it’s filled with contents so I’m not sure how I should calculate the inner dimensions. So far, I just inputted the length, width, and height of the box as the inner dimensions. Do I have to also add exterior dimensions and if so how do I calculate it?

Also, it’s a custom-made box. The outer dimensions are 26x21x2″. I’m not sure how to calculate the inner dimensions.

For the inner dimensions, you can measure the inside of the package where the product will be including the depth, like this;
