Extensions required

  • Are the following modules required for PHP8.1 and latest WordPress? What functionality do they add:

    – DOM
    – zip: I think WordPress has it’s own backup ZIP libraries for the odd update. I am not sure why I should be loading it into PHP for every script when WordPress has an alternative
