    Hi there,

many, many thanks for this great plugin. i have been looking for a way to implement a seat reservation system for a long time and this plugin solves many of my problems. My question would be whether some extensions would be possible?

    1. Would it be possible after a guest has confirmed by email that his booking is correct, he will receive another email with the attributes of the order such as the booking ID, seat number, room, etc.? It would be perfect if the booking ID were available as a barcode or QR code in the mail. The visitor could then print out this e-mail and use it as an entrance ticket for the event, where only the code would then have to be scanned.

    2. It would also be great if the text in the email to be sent could still be adjusted.

Otherwise the plugin is really great, thank you very much for that.

    Hey,

I am glad you liked my plugin ( feel free to add a review =) ). Your ideas are create and I will implement them. I will not give any promises in time wise but it should not take lot of time. Stay tuned.

    Hi there,

I just got another idea while using the plugin. If it is possible that your plug-in communicates with the user administration of WordPress, then you could do without the extra input of attributes when reserving a seat.

As an example it would work like this:

A user creates an account on the homepage where all information would then be available such as name, address, e-mail, etc. Then the user would go to the plugin and reserve a place where none further information would be necessary because the plugin is talking to the user administration and thus all necessary user data would be available for this seat reservation. If the user could then have their reservation displayed in their profile in addition to their e-mail, the system would be completely complete.

Not sure about the user administration idea. People usually don’t like to create an account, they just want to book a seat. This plugin already provides booking check page where they can see what seats they booked and the status of the booking etc. But I add this idea to the ideas list.

Hey. I released version 1.7.0 of the plugin. It will now support sending out receipt email when booking is approved.

    Very very cool,
the sending of the booking confirmation works. What didn’t work for me now was the QR code in the email. Had tried that with two email providers without success.

Strange. So the QR code was it the email but it did not work when using some QR code reader? Or the QR code was not showing at all? Did you enable it in settings?

    Hi there,
No QR code is displayed in the email sent. I tried all setting options for testing but without success. I have also tested different receiving addresses without success.

Are we talking about the email that is sent out when booking is approved?
The email should have something like following:

Thank you for booking at Test. Your booking is now approved
    Booking ID is: 62dbb20299bf4cdc57adc17119093993a2ed55ef
    Now booking table is displayed
And now the QR code should be displayed if enabled in settings.

Do you receive this email but QR code is not displayed even when Approved booking receipt email QR code is enabled in settings?

It is exactly like that, the e-mail is sent and everything is there up to the table. After the table there is nothing else in the email. The display of the QR code is activated in the settings.

Okay. I will try to think why it might fail. Working nicely here.
What version of WordPress and PHP are you using?

    (@torchman)

    WordPress –> 5.8.1 , PHP –> 7.4

    Hello
I tried it again today with WordPress Version 5.8.2. Again, there is no QR code in the email. The QR code for the booking ID is activated in the settings. But I noticed that the values ??in the table do not match the attributes. So in the table under room was now the registered e-mail and the name was now the seat number.

Hey. Thanks for notifying. I hope I have some time in this weekend to take a look.

I updated the plugin. It should fix the QR code problem. I also added QR code testing section in tools submenu. In there you should see test QR code if everything works. If not then it should show error for debugging.

    Hi there,

Unfortunately, the problem has not yet been eliminated with version 1.8.0. Under the Tools menu item, I can see the QR code and it is displayed correctly. In the settings it is activated that a QR code with the booking ID should be sent via a confirmation email. In the e-mail itself everything is now correctly present except for the QR code itself. This is still not displayed in the e-mail. The problem with the moved table no longer exists. I tried it on two different WordPress installations that also use other plugins in total. Both use PHP 7.4 and WordPress 5.8 and the results are the same for both. Could the problem still be mine?
