• I want to buy the mailchimp extension. I want the single site license. I am want to install it first on the DEV site before using it on the PROD site. Will I be able to use the same install or will I need a new license for that too?

    Thanks

  • This free UM support board doesn’t provide support for paid extensions.

I’m not asking for support. I asked a question about purchasing it. Again, if I buy a one site licence does it cover the test and production installs.

Please ask paid extension related questions there.

I don’t have an active license number so can’t post a question

Per WordPress guidelines, they can not give you sales information about their paid extension on this support board. This belongs to WordPress not UM. Using the link I gave you, you could email that question to them directly.

Will I be able to use the same install or will I need a new license for that too?

Single: One license per site. Why is this not clear?

    Because it’s not.
Never mind I will look for another plug in.

Then you have never bought a single extension, or plugin, or theme or anything in your life…

I’m a newbie in need of assistance. I didn’t know that was a crime or resulted insults.

You had the right answer on my first reply. Nobody is insulting you here, but you need to respect the participants that try to help you, instead of making contentious remarks. If you look at your topic history, next to the plugin authors, I am the only one who has bothered to reply or give you any information on the UM support board.

I didn’t make any contentious remarks. You were the one that made comments about me never having bought anything. That was uncalled for.
I don’t see anything wrong with me trying to ensure I buy the right thing before spending my money. I appreciate your efforts but it looks like it is a dead end. Let’s just leave it at that.

I am sorry but, I only stated the obvious here. Only someone who has never bought a one single license theme, plugin or add-on. etc, doesn’t know what a “single license” is.

Looking at your history, you have been using WordPress for more than a year. I find it extremely difficult to believe that you didn’t know what a single license means.

So let’s leave it at that then.

You find it hard to believe but nothing wrong with being sure is there? That’s what forums are for after all.

And one more thing, there is no reason why a test site can not be residing within the same domain name. As long as there is a separate DB you can run as many tests sites as you want…

    Hi @dynastar,

Due to wp.org forum rules we are not allowed to discuss our paid extensions on this website. In future, you will need to submit a pre-purchase question via our website.
