Extension / inheritance since 2.4 not working any more

    Hi, I updated from RUA 2.3.2 to 2.4 (WP 6.02). Since, the extensions do not seem to function as expected any more. I did not change anything in the RUA-configuration.

    Problem: When eg Level-Gold extends Level-Silver with additional Pages only Gold can see, a user with Level-Gold can see only these additional pages, but none of Level-Silver. Admins can still see all content.

    Short-Term Solution: I downgraded to 2.3.2 and everything is back to normal.

    Any thoughts? Thank you!

    Thank you for reporting this.

    Does your levels use the “Synchronized Role” option? Or have users been added as actual members?

    I use Synchronized Role.

    OMG me too, Extend role stops working when user gets role via the new member trait feature. And it was since 2 month ago too, managed to lose a bunch of members and i just now realized it.

    Reversing to older version does fix it, thanks.

    Thank you both for the details. I was able to reproduce this issue and can confirm it’s a bug. A new version is scheduled to be released soon, and I will make sure a fix for this is included.
