    Hello,

Is there a way to use both fixed header and the responsive extensions together? Specifically the flip responsive doesn’t work well with it because the fixed header is still running. Is there a way to shut this off under a certain screen size?

Also, when using buttons and trying to save as pdf or print, is there a way to get image in there as well? If not, as I know this may be difficult, is there a way to just get the alt text to put into the field?

You’ve got a great plugin. Thanks.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble as well as for the late reply. I’ve been on holidays and therefore couldn’t reply earlier.

Unfortunately, those two Extensions are not compatible, due to how they work technically ?? The basically interfere with each other.

To get an image into the button, the best way should probably be some custom CSS code.

Shoot, I was really hoping to use both of the extensions. Just out of curiosity have you ever thought about making all your extensions compatible and putting them all together for a “Pro” version instead of different extensions? Really think you could make some money off of this considering you have the best table plugin for WordPress already.

Just to clarify on the second question, I wasn’t wanting to put an image in the button itself. What I wanted was the image from my table to be pulled into the PDF. Currently, as far as I can see, it only pulls in the text. We decided not add the ability to download the PDF anyway but thought I would clarify what I meant.

    Best Regards

    Hi,

well, it’s more the flip mode that’s not compatible (and can’t be made compatible due to technical reasons of how the CSS works). If you were to use the collapse mode, that should work.

For the image: Ah, I see. I think this is a limitation of the DataTables JS library that TablePress uses for this. I hope that it gets the feature to include images in the future.

The problem with the collapse is that it will only put the column into the drop-down after you can’t see any of the column. I would want it to go to the drop-down as soon as it can’t show the complete column. Idk if that makes sense as it’s hard to explain. Basically right now it’s possible that only 25 or 50% of the last column will show instead of going to the drop-down when it’s not 100%. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to work but i’m just having issues. You can view my table on my test site at https://etczone.etclinuxtest.com/business/tv/channel-lineup/ . I’ll leave both fixed header and responsive tables extensions active.

    Thanks for any help

    Hi,

yeah, I think I know what you mean :-/ From what I know, this is not the expected behavior, but it’s happening due to a bug in the JS code of the Responsive JS. Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with its internals, but I can only hope that it will be fixed in an upcoming version.

    Regards,
    Tobias
