• I’m working on building a new site for our company, which includes the basic about us pages and a portfolio. My boss also maintains two blogs that over the past several years have been used to help drive traffic to our site. I’d like to have relevant blog posts show in the search results when a visitor enters a search term.

Is there a way to include the two blogs we run (same server, diff folders and WP setups) in the search results that display when a user searches for something in our main site area?

    Thanks in advance!

from my experience, the easiest solution for this situation, is non wordpress solution but use custom search google. maybe this little bit strange, but as i said :”based on personal opinion”

you can apply then custom it. You can make it only index your blogs and only show search result based of your blog content.

    Better go with uwiuw suggestion…

use google cse and add all your blogs in the settings and take that snippet and paste it in your blogs replacing your current search

    hope this helps

I appreciate the suggestion. The problem I’m having is I’d really like to be able to use WordPress Tags to fully control the way the information is called up – using excerpts, author tags with appropriate links, etc.

I’m sorry your need is above my knowledge. i can not help you. Maybe the moderators has more information on this kind of customization.

if only you start those blog as wordpress MU, then it will be easier to accomplish.

Thanks guys. Right now I’m looking into attempting to set up some sort of php loop that runs the search terms against each of the three databases. No having any luck.
