Extend the option to other contents

Hi, thank you for your excellent plugin.
I see it works with rows and columns.
Would it be possible to extend its function to other elements?

In my case the template I use has an “Element Holder” I can fill with “Element Holder Items”. In the settings I can set the number of columns I want and then it dynamically create columns. If I could assign role visibility on said “Element Holder Items” I could have the two columns layout I need with no blank spaces.
