Express checkouts not showing

Hello,

It used to show on the listing, cart, and checkout page but now it doesn’t.

That sounds like it was working in the past. Did the site receive any recent updates?

As a first step can you go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe and make sure the settings for Enable express checkouts are checked.

If the settings are checked, and still not working can you provide the following to check further your configuration?

Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

Everything is checked yes. It’s possible it was after an update but I’m not sure as to exactly when it happened, I just happened to notice it. Ok here it is –

Yeah in the checkout page you can still pay with both which is fine, but the express options aren’t showing, the little box where you can go straight to payment from the product and cart pages, they used to show and now they don’t.

To help me diagnose it better, can you give the following a try, please?

• Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
• Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and the Stripe plugin
• Repeat the action that is causing the problem

Make sure all the checkboxes are still ticked:

And access your site using a device/browser that has the Apple Pay/Google Pay configured.

If the issue persists, share again a screenshot of your checkout/cart page, so we can visualize it better, after giving the above steps a try.

Finally, if you’re not comfortable with doing the steps above on your live store, you can consider using a Staging site.

If your host doesn’t offer that option, we recommend WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

I’ve created a staging website the storefront theme and only have woocommerce and stripe plugins working with all the necessary settings ticked but it still doesn’t show.

Can you visit this link and let us know if you see the Apply/Google Pay button on that page? If you don’t see the button, that means there is no payment method set up in your account associated with the browser.

I don’t see the google/apple pay express button as I haven’t set up the payment method for that one.

However I’ve enabled Paypals express button so I know that one works but I preferred to have the stripe one. Like I say it did used to show but now it doesn’t. It used to be the purple one in the preview.

I tested the Express Checkout functionality on your page, and it seems to be working without issues (i.e., the user can complete the payment without leaving the site).

As for the Buy Now button not being displayed on product pages, this seems to be the expected behavior on the current Stripe plugin version, as I verified on a test site.

Note that by going to WooCommerce ? Settings ? Payments ? Stripe ? Customize Appearence , only Apple Pay and Google Pay buttons can be set.

As an alternative, I recommend that you install one of the direct checkout plugins listed here:
