    Hi,

    I’ve this ticked
Allow customers to checkout without a PayPal account using their credit card,
and it is set to ON in PP account, still I am required to create an PP account when I checkout.

I’ve wp 4.0 and woo 2.2.4 Been searching but cannot find anything related, any workaround or fix you know of to pay without creating an account?

Also, I have some free reports, how can I skip the PP button on the product pages when it’s free? Any snippet or other tricks you know of?

    Thanks in advance.
    Dennis

  • I’m using the sandbox for testing. It’s automatically going to U.S. ‘https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/’

@pranavd2008, this URL is not anything we are setting specifically. If you’re getting the Nigera page I would assume your PayPal account must be based there..?? Is this not the case?

@pw EDEN, do you have PayPal Account Optional enabled in your PayPal account profile?

    My Account is Philippines Based…

In my Another WordPress Website,Im Using Paypal Express Plugin By Skyverge & Im not facing this nigeria page issue there….I tried your Plugin in another wordpress site of my client,This Nigeria page issue is coming there also

There must be something unique you’re doing then, because I am not having this complaint from anybody else. If you want to submit a ticket here I can take a look. I’d need your WP login credentials and possibly FTP credentials as well.

That’s Not Possible,I Can Only Give Access in Team Viewer…

Do you not have a separate test server we can work from? Getting together on TeamViewer is going to require a premium support ticket.

Premium Support 80 USD?? Thanks For Replying..In That Much Money I Can Buy Another Licence Of Official Woothemes Paypal Express Plugin By Skyverge Which I am Using in Another Website Without Any Nigeria Page Trouble…

@pranavd2008, that’s a perfectly viable option. Their plugin has a lot fewer features than ours, though, and we are actively developing and releasing updates at a quicker than they do. I completely understand your sentiment, though.

Our plugin is actually a derivative of the original WooThemes PayPal Express plugin that we’ve improved quite a bit in various ways.

The URL that the user is sent to when they click the Express Checkout button is actually hard-coded into the plugin, and it’s not anything that was changed from the original plugin.

    It simply uses this URL: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_express-checkout&token={token}

If you’re getting redirected to a Nigeria URL from that then you must be something about the seller account that is triggering that. It’s not a problem I’ve had any complaints from anybody else with, so without digging deeper into your stuff specifically it’s hard to provide any in depth feedback.

You could call PayPal and ask them why it’s happening. They may be able to give you a reason and help you resolve it.

We’ve got a few different people in this thread now, but it seems like different issues (while similar).

@dennis1001, are you still having troubles? @pw EDEN, how about you?

    HI,

Yes I still have this problem and me too are taken to the Nigerian page. Din’t give it a thought until I saw others having this same issue.

Did try to find other PP plugins to check if the same would happen but, didn’t find any for free that I could use.

If you want to look I can send you my site login details.

Yeah, please submit a ticket here and let me know your credentials so I can take a look. I’m curious to see what it is. Gotta be something unique going on.

@dennis1001, thanks for the details. I’ve responded to your ticket through my system.

For others here, I’m going to work with him directly to figure out what’s going on, and then I should be able to come back and update you with the info you need.

I still don’t think it’s a problem with the plugin as it seems to be PayPal redirecting to this other URL after the plugin sends them to the one hard-coded in the system. That’s what I need to get to the bottom of.
