    Hi,

    I’ve this ticked
Allow customers to checkout without a PayPal account using their credit card,
and it is set to ON in PP account, still I am required to create an PP account when I checkout.

I’ve wp 4.0 and woo 2.2.4 Been searching but cannot find anything related, any workaround or fix you know of to pay without creating an account?

Also, I have some free reports, how can I skip the PP button on the product pages when it’s free? Any snippet or other tricks you know of?

    Thanks in advance.
    Dennis

What country is your PayPal account based in? I know they don’t support guest checkout everywhere, so it could be that you’re in a country that they don’t support.

Are you saying you have a free product, but the PayPal button still shows up on those pages when it shouldn’t?

I am Also Facing That Problem,Paypal Optional is On…It used to work with with earlier opencart store but after migrating to wordpress,it’s not showing up…It’s Not Allowing Customer to Checkout without paypal account…My Paypal is Philippines based

when you say PayPal optional is on are you talking about in your PayPal account profile? Do you also have those settings configured in WordPress and WooCommerce?

    Hi,

I found this page on paypal
    https://developer.paypal.com/docs/integration/direct/rest_api_payment_country_currency_support/

    Direct Credit Card Payments
The REST API supports direct credit card payments, which are credit card payments without a separate web approval flow, in the following countries:

    United States
    United Kingdom

It’s only US and UK based PP accounts that has this option.

I am in Europe but not UK. My API was created in 2008 and have work for me until I changed over to woo.

For the free reports, yes the PayPal button is listed as an option to checkout. I’ve taken steps to bypass the checkout process to prevent the need of filling out shipping info etc.

Any solution to skip the PP button to be listed when there is a free download?

This plugin is not using the REST API so that does not apply. Express Checkout offers guest checkout to more countries. I’ll have to see if I can track down the specific list.

As for the PP button, are you referring to the button that shows up on the product details page?

The same issue with me. There is no option to pay with a credit card without signing up for a PayPal account.

    Photo

    P.S. Website is U.S. based.

Problem is There in Plugin URL,Whenever Somebody Clicks On Paypal Express Button,it takes them to Nigeria Paypal page..Nomatter what you set your default country, plugin taking customer to Nigeria paypal page…In Nigeria,Customers Can’t Pay Without Making Paypal Account…Thats the Problem we all facing in this plugin,Just change the country in paypal checkout page,Customer can then see Optional Paypal…Default Plugin URL is a Bug,Maybe Developer will solve

Look Plugin Default URL Looks like https://www.paypal.com/ng/cgi-bin/merchantpaymentweb

Ng is Nigeria…That’s The Whole Problem…We Can’t Do Anything Until Developer Changes That…Till That You Can Ask Your Customer Don’t Run Away,Just Tell Them to change country when they arrive at Paypal page…

Unfortunately, that must not be the problem. My URL is US based and it still does not work. ‘https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/’ I even have sell to only United States customers in the setup area.

You Didnt Read Properly I Mentioned No-Matter What you set your default country, plugin taking customers to paypal nigeria…You Can Check By Yourself..Just Click Paypal Express Button in Your Website, wait n watch..It will take you to URL Starting Like https://www.paypal.com/ng/cgi-bin/merchantpaymentweb
