Express Checkout PayerID is missing.

  • I am testing the Paid Membership Pro before we got live with your subscription page and went through the whole process and selected a membership level, paid with PayPal and then when it brought be back to the site I got the an error, “Express Checkout PayerID is missing.”

    Can anyone help me with this?

    Also, when do the members create their membership information?

  • I have the same problem. I’ve double checked the credentials and they are all correct.

    It’s possible your setup does not have $_SESSION variables enabled – which is common with WP Engine hosted sites and other hosts. You may want to check with your host to see if you are allowed to set session variables.

    Dawneddy or Pazis, did you ever get this figured out? I’m having the same issue. I checked with my web host and the $_SESSION variables are enabled.

    I tried just using the PayPal standard and the payment processed and everything went through, but the “member” doesn’t show up in my dashboard Members List.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    All my API and IPN are set up correctly in Membership pro but I get an error “Express Checkout PayerID is missing” with Paypal Express and in Live mode.
