Exporting wordpress sites to portable static site.

Hi all,
I am a network administrator in a school/college.
I having recently been testing wordpress multisite for our media students who need to create a variety of sites as part of their coursework.
I have installed wordpress and successfully created multiple sub-sites on an internal dedicated windows web server.

My issue comes when the students have completed creating their sites and they need to be sent off to the exam boards. In previous years this has been by means of CD/DVD with static html sites coded in the likes of Dreamweaver.
Therefore my question becomes, is there a way of exporting a working copy of a finished wordpress site that can be put onto a CD/DVD/USB that can be viewed off site on any computer for the examinations and moderators?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
