Hi. Firstly may I say what an excellent plugin you have created. It’s logical, flexible and generally awesome. Having just moved my site to WordPress from ‘hand-coding hell’ I will be moving around 100 existing quizzes into your plugin and then continuing to fanatically create many more. My question is does the Export Addon allow quiz data to be exported from the plugin in CSV format (just questions and their associated answers; no users or scores) in a structure that makes the CSV data (1) readable and usable as a permanent record of all of my quiz questions and answers and (2) in a format that could be usable in other quiz engines should you guys decide you’ve had enough, turn the lights off, and retire to the Maldives? Thanks.

  • Hi @flintontheweb,

Thanks for showing interest and appreciating our plugin.

Right now, the export/import addon only exports and imports quizzes created via qsm either in json or csv format.

However, I can forward it as the feature request to the development team and they will try to implement it in the future releases.

    Thanks Kriti,

Is it possible to view a sample CSV file so I can understand how the data is exported?

    Hi @flintontheweb,

Please check the following sample csv file, I have created for you. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DnhF9t1hSc5j0A6kyPRyhvp2mCeyye-Q/view?usp=drivesdk

But you can only use it with export/import addon to import the quiz in Qsm.

    Kind regards,
    Kriti

    Thanks Kriti,

Unfortunately I can’t open the file. A message tells me I don’t have permission (?)

    Hi,

I have given you the permission to view the file. You can now access it.

    Thank you,

Cam you please clarify whether each row would list every question in a given quiz along with the respective answers? It’s a little difficult to interpret what data would appear.

As previously mentioned I’m trying to determine whether the CSV output provides a record of all questions and answers created in QSM.

    Regards.

    Hi,

The CSV file exports only questions and not the answers.

We do have an add-on Export results with which you can export answers also.

    Kind regards,

Thanks for all your assistance Kriti,

I would be very grateful if you could recommend to your developers expanding the CSV functionality. In particular the option to export the questions, multiple choice answers and correct answers (just the correct answers, not all of the users’ answers) in a format that can serve as a definitive list of questions and answers created by a publisher. This would not only help to provide an overall view of all quiz questions created but also serve as comprehensive and ‘time stamped’ records to challenge plagiarism.

    Thanks again.

    Sure @flintontheweb ,

I will forward this as the feature request to the development team.

    Kind regards,
    Kriti
