Export/Import Of XML Files From WP.com to WP.org

Hi all, I tried to import some of my posts from wordpress.com to an xml file so I can import them into my wp.org blog. WP.org blog says it’s too big. I noticed wp.org blogs allow smaller and smaller import/export files to be imported. I tried WP All Import plugin but after a few seconds into selecting my option to import to my wp.org blog nothing happens. Can anyone here let me know of any alternative plugin to wp’s default and WP All Import pro or free that doesn’t severely limit with regards to file size, the files you can upload or import? 2 megabytes? That’s too small. Any simple alternatives. I could really use your help.
