Export to htaccess

I’m wondering if it might be possible to allow one or more of the redirections in the plug-in to be exported to the format that they would need to be added to the htaccess file, in case for whatever reason the plugin can’t be used.

I’m also curious what the performance of the redirect is in the plugin vs. being in the htaccess file.
