export theme and settings

  • Hi,

    My current site has Storefront theme currently and I am working on the staging site to change the style. I have chosen Customify as the new theme.

    I would like to export the theme and all the settings to the live site and nothing else. So far, I have found 2 plugins – Theme export and Customizer Export/Import. These 2 plugins do my request in 2 steps.

    But I would like to do this in 1 step. If I use these 2 plugins, it looks like I will have to make the Customify theme live first and then import the settings into it – which is by default “Live”.

    Is there another plugin that will export the theme files with the customisations as a ZIP file that I can import as a theme and check before I publish?

  • Hi,

    To my knowledge, there is no plugin that can export the customizer settings as a theme. They can only help you to export settings as a file (.dat or .json) then re-import on the live site.

    You can use the option Save Draft in the customizer to preview the site before publishing new settings.
